A team of Practice nurses run the treatment rooms during normal surgery hours. Sessions are run for dressings, minor ailments, removal of sutures, injections, immunisations and ear syringing etc.

Appointments may be made by contacting reception. The practice nurses also perform routine health checks for all new patients as well as running health promotion clinics. Chronic disease management clinics are also offered if you suffer from heart disease, asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension or stroke. The nurses will refer to the doctors if appropriate.

Practice Nurses can extend their skills at Diploma Level and see many patients who previously would have seen the Doctor.

The Nursing Team run various Nurse-led clinics for diabetes, asthma, coronary heart disease and COPD as well as providing general nursing services, dressings, removal of sutures and blood tests.
